The J3 Insulation Promise

Does this sound familiar? Contractors who don’t return your phone calls or take the time to address your concerns.

We’re not like those contractors.

Customer service is our top priority.

We actually return your phone calls and messages promptly.

We answer any questions and address any concerns you might have.

So, if you’re looking for a reliable, courteous, and just plain professional contractor, we’re glad you found us.

Professionalism

Hate messy contractors? So do we.

We pride ourselves on our appearance and our cleanliness. (Seriously, peek into our cube van sometime.)

But most importantly, you can rest assured that we take all steps necessary to keep your house clean and tidy at the end of each day — no matter how messy insulation work can get.

Cleanliness

The majority of our work takes place in an attic — a place where most people never look.

We take pictures throughout our work process and explain to you exactly what we’re doing.

If something unforeseen pops up (and it does from time to time) we document it, take pictures, and talk to you before we continue working.

Our quotes and invoices break down our work and why it was needed, so you know exactly what to expect and what you’re paying for.

A well-informed client is a happy client.

Our Services

  • a person blowing cellulose insulation into an attic space

    Blown-In Insulation

    Both cost-effective and energy-efficient.

Blown-in cellulose insulation is fire, mold, and rodent resistant. It also provides a great soundproofing barrier.

We can blow cellulose insulation into your attic and wall cavities.

Whether your home is a new build or you’re looking to top up the insulation in your existing home, we’ll make sure your home is as energy efficient as possible.

  • attic insulation removal. insulation hoses in an attic space with no insulation in the attic

    Attic Insulation Removal

Are you about to start a home renovation and the electrician and/or plumber need access to the attic?

Did your house have a leaky roof which led to moldy, smelly insulation that you can smell inside your house?

Or maybe you had a rodent/pest infestation and want that hazardous mess removed…

Insulation removal takes care of all that, and we do that too!

  • attic air sealing showing spray foam sprayed around hoses and electrical wires that go through an attic

    Attic Air Sealing

Does your roof get ice dams in the winter? Does your house have a hard time staying at a comfortable temperature?

Light fixtures, bathroom exhaust fans, plumbing stacks, and electrical wiring all lead into your home’s attic.

When these areas aren’t properly sealed, air from inside your house can leak into your attic, which can cause a number of problems.

It can even give rodents free range of your attic — and the rest of your home.

So, is your attic properly sealed?

We can help you find out.

Hi, I’m Jay, the owner of J3 Insulation.

Before working in the contracting industry, I spent the better part of 2 decades in the military. The first 7 years of my career were spent as a soldier here in New Brunswick at CFB Gagetown. The military taught me to work hard until the job is done, and it’s done right.

Since retiring from the military, I’ve been helping people realize their renovation dreams for the last decade. A large part of my work involved ensuring that my customers’ homes were energy-efficient and comfortable, no matter the season.

In the aftermath of the devastating forest fires in Fort McMurray, Alberta in 2016, I realized I had a duty to serve people once again. This time not as part of the military, but as an insulation specialist.

During our many months there, J3 provided remediation services to hundreds of homes. We became the go-to insulation guys for many of the major restoration companies leading the cleanup.

I’ve been back in Fredericton for the last few years now, and I bring that same dedication to my work here. For me, it’s all about being a trusted, friendly contractor who’s proud of the work I do.

I get a real sense of satisfaction knowing that I’ve put a smile on my customers’ faces. And my customers can rest easy knowing their homes are safe and sound.

What Our Clients Say

  • They were prompt, polite, friendly, clean and meticulous! They gave me regular pictorial updates on how the work was progressing. The attic was tight, but no complaints. They ensured ventilation was maintained and a dam was built to contain the cellulose. We will definitely give them our business again. Highly recommend!

    Jane ~ Charters Settlement

  • 5 Star Rating – Professional, Clean, and Courteous! Jay and Curtis arrived on time and they ensured I had a complete understanding of the work to be completed before they started. They were professional in appearance and workmanship, they completed the work on time, and they were very clean and courteous while on site. I would highly recommend their services to all my friends & family!

    Tim ~ New Maryland

  • When we found out that we had a rodent issue in the new home we just purchased, Jay quickly and efficiently assessed the situation and advised us exactly what needed to be done to remedy it. We are so pleased that Jay and his crew were able to remove all of our old, rodent infested attic insulation, and replace it with new, as well as find and seal all ports of rodent entry. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jay to any of our family and friends.
